About DoDo Jin Ming
DoDo Jin Ming (b. 1955, Beijing, China) is a photographer whose practice is centred on the observation of nature and the photographic representation of movement, transformation and time. Her principal bodies of work examine subjects including the sea, flowers and landscapes, employing photography to record changes in natural forms and conditions. Her practice is also informed by her earlier career in music. Jin Ming trained as a concert violinist at the Royal Academy of Music and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts before subsequently turning to photography in the early 1990s.

Jin Ming developed her photographic practice independently and established a body of work distinguished by its sustained attention to natural phenomena.
